AGV systems are called BGV at BeeWaTec
The AGV systems at BeeWatec are called: BGV, in other words BeeWaTec Guided Vehicles. “BVG systems, as well as special solutions from the pipe plug-in system are created in-house.”
Cleverly combined – Conversation with FTS-/AGV-FACTS
“In 2010, a German FTS manufacturer was taken over very early and with foresight. Production was relocated to Pfullingen, where it is still located today.”
“Our FTS systems are equipped with different navigation technologies. Preferably, however, the BGVs navigate using the SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping) method, so that they navigate free in their environment.”
“Jens Walter works in management and is primarily responsible for automation. He emphasises that software and mechanical engineering, electrics, chassis assembly and commissioning are all done in-house.
“The high vertical range of manufacture offers advantages in procurement and service, so AGV applications are increasing. We receive enquiries from very different industries.“
“We see ourselves as a product and system solution provider. We offer AGV systems as a stand-alone product or in a product and system solution in combination with other products from our portfolio, e.g. our gravity transfer stations made of the proven pipe plug-in system to automate the transfers between the stations and the AGVs.”.
By the way, BeeWaTec is already working on co-bot solutions. In other words, AGVs with an attached robot arm that collaborate with the worker. Mr. Walter does not see the acquisition of possible AGV start-ups as being expedient, because the company’s own portfolio can cover and map all previous customer enquiries.
Since 2018, BeeWaTec has been a partner of the Japanese company Daihen, which offers inductive charging systems, among other things. BeeWaTec is responsible for sales, customer support and service in the European region. These systems are suitable for the contactless charging of AGVs.

LogiMAT, International Trade Fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management took place for the 17th time from 19.02. – 21.02.2019 in Stuttgart at the exhibition centre.
LogiMAT offers us the opportunity to advertise and demonstrate our new products at the central location. The highlight of this year’s LogiMAT was the ultra-flat driverless transport system, which manoeuvres sensor-controlled under mobile load carriers, baskets or shelf trolleys, lifts and transports them by means of a lifting unit.
This year’s MOTEK took place from 07 – 10 October 2019. Our stand was located in Hall 3, booth number 3206. The motto of this year’s trade fair booth was “Electrical Conductivity“.
A part of the BeeWaTec team
We presented our customers an assembly line combined of our ∅28 mm SUS tube and aluminium profile tube in electrically conductive design. This assembly line shows the use of a pipe roller conveyor and various storage viewing boxes, which is optimally suited for a smooth material flow.
With our wide span racking we presented a standard racking made of coated D-Coat rawr and aluminium double pipe with black joints, roller tracks, lateral guides and six wheels. The shelf can be optimally used in assembly and supports the employees in their daily work.
We also showed a workstation built from our aluminium pipe with tabletop, monitor holder, lighting, two small pipe roller tracks and two cut-outs for chutes with different joints and supported by support feet.
There were also a variety of constructions in which our electrically conductive aluminium square profile was used.
The 2020 MOTEK will take place from 05 October – 08 October.
Due to official orders, LogiMAT 2020 has been cancelled.
“This is bitter because LogiMAT Stuttgart is of outstanding importance for the global intralogistics industry. The cancellation of LogiMAT 2020 due to external, unforeseeable circumstances is a first in its 18-year history.”
